Tired
I’m tired. Physically and emotionally. My brain is tired. It’s hard to breathe too.
I feel like sleeping the whole week. What’s up with me?! Ya Allah, I need a boost. I need to take a break from everything surrounding me.

I went to Enschede today with some friends to visit Baby Kenji. Enschede is a city 3 hours away from Eindhoven by train; quite far by Dutch standard. Before we visited the newly born, we went around the centrum first and had lunch at La Place. My friend had some discount coupons so we used them to buy 2 tuna sandwiches, 2 fruit cakes, 2 banana yoghurt drink, and 2 coffee. It was only 5 euro per person! Hehehe. I loveeeeeeee bargains! 🙂
And… baby Kenji?!
He was just an adorable and cute little baby! Oooohh I always wanted to squeeze him soooo tight! Soo sooo soooooooo CUTE!!!!
My friend, Elaine, came all the way from the States today. She’s going to stay at my place for two nights before traveling somewhere else. I’m SO glad to meet her again! I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since the last time we met and she promised me that she’ll be back one day to Europe again. She did 🙂
Previously she gave me a San Francisco cable car miniature and today she gave me a new cool pair of shoes! Hehehe. This isn’t my type of shoes, but it seems comfortable and it’s good for traveling! 😛 I’m so happy 🙂
This was me and Wiza in Kinderdijk. Look at our facial expressions! Hahaha! Hillarious! We were supposed to be jumping, but as usual, we failed LOL!
The photo was taken last week.
I’m not a big fan of tea, to be honest. Hot chocolate and mango juice are my top favorites. Coffee (preferably cappuccino) is the next favorite (but trying so hard NOT to drink this frequently). Tea and soda drinks are, however, at the bottom of my list.
But ever since I got sick, I’ve avoided hot chocolate and coffee altogether. Somehow I feel they’re not good for my throat. But I need to drink something warm (too lazy to make a lemonade + honey mixture). So I opt for a tea!!!! 😀
It feels weird. I never bought a box of tea before. A change of lifestyle, I guess? 😛 Every time I drink tea, I remember about my ex-housemate and good friend, Jenny. She used to sit in our living room after dinner, watching TV and drinking a cup of green tea.
Ohhhh damn! I haven’t written to her for AGES! Maybe I should! 😐
Too bad I couldn’t watch Al Jazeera when then-VP Omar Suleiman announced the stepping down of Mubarak. I was in the train, on the way to Delft to perform angklung. Mbak Dina called me to deliver the news, that Mubarak has finally resigned! It was one of the happiest moments of my life!
I can’t believe that one day, I’ll go back to a new Egypt with the new president!
Mabrook ya sya3bi Masr!
No updates from me for awhile. Kinda overwhelmed with everything that’s been happening in the Middle East, especially the two countries that have close relationship with me, Egypt (where I was born) and Saudi Arabia. I’ve been tweeting and tweeting. So go ahead, read my tweets (don’t want to link my account here though).
I decided to put my twitter account on public as it’s hard for me to reply those tweets by people who do not follow me. I’m still considering whether it will be temporarily or not.
Off for few days.
Finished exam but I expect to retake the same one this April! 😛
Published a new blog post. Beware: it’s SOO long!
