Project 365

Welcome! This is my own 365 project of creating at least one post per day about the stuff that I learnt, achieved, and found, the stuff that made me happy, or the new thing I did every single day.

The project was started on 21 February 2010. It has stopped for few times but I am determined to continue!

This project is dedicated to myself. I want to feel grateful for every single thing I have. I want to be thankful for my own life. I just want to feel that I have enough.

Look at her face… SOOOOO CUTEEEEEE!!! AAAAAHHHH!!!! Her eyes are like Puss in Boots‘ eyes… you know, "memelas". Hahaha.

Just look at her and your stress is suddenly gone! All your problems are gone! She’s magic! Hahaha.

Ok I’m getting crazy.

The One That Is Mocked All The Time

LOL for this comment on YouTube:

Rockheads all over the world, listen!

The world is changing! The tallest player in the NBA is Asian!

And the chick with the highest pitched voice is Justin Bieber!

No one listens to metal anymore! Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ video currently has over 500,000,000 views! What the f*ck! Everybody unite on July 1st and watch Breaking Benjamin. Refresh your page 5 times to give it 5 more views! Thumb this up so it gets noticed! And copy + paste to all rock vids of your choice!

Oh Justin Bieber. I don’t know any of your songs (except ‘Baby’ since somebody pointed that one out when I was in the mall), but I pity you, seriously. Most of the comments on YouTube have some sentiments toward you. Yet, that is your “home”. You were “born” there. Hahaha.

* Such a waste of time posting this, right? 😛

Need Some Entertainment?

These are some of the websites — ordered by my most favorite ones — that I always read whenever I’m stressed out 🙂

Nguping Jakarta (Indonesian)

I think most of, if not, all Indonesians know this website. Inspired by Overheard in New York (you should check that one out too!), it showcases some funny quotes that are overheard in Jakarta.

Instruktur Bahasa Inggris: "Can you tell me about your family. In English."
Mahasiswa: "Sorry, sir. I don’t have a family in English."

Kampus di Bintaro, didengar seisi kelas yang merasa program pelatihan bahasa mereka gagal total.

Dilbert Daily Strip (English)

Do I need to say more? 🙂

Clients from Hell (English)

A collection of anonymously contributed client horror stories from (web) designers. Some of them can only be understood by those who are familiar with web designing and IT, but most of them are not hard to understand and it will make you laugh for sure 😉

Client: “I googled my name and there is some nasty stuff about me on the Internet. There is this guy saying in his blog that I am an idiot. I want you to remove that blog and block the Internet if they write shit about me.”

Us: “We cannot do that.”

Client: “Well, get someone else to do it then. I want every nasty stuff about me removed from the Internet today, and make sure nobody can write bad things about me. I want you to control the Internet.”

Us: “We can’t control it and neither can you.”

Client: “Right, if you won’t do it I’ll find someone who will.”

Us: “Good luck, let us know if you succeed.”

Lajang dan Menikah (Indonesian)

A collection of stories about single, dating, and married life. Although the stories are too long, they’re very entertaining 🙂 Love the way the author wrote them!

Nguping Teknologi

… and some more:

  • Chicken Strip (Indonesian) — an online comic strip about IT and current events
  • xkcd (English) — a webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language
  • (Indonesian) — a collection of funny and interesting pictures

Worth-visited but outdated blogs:

  • Serasa — misspellings and weird things captured in pictures.
  • OhMy!gle — a collection of some hilarious chats 🙂

The Fish’s Demand

The fish demands the collapse of the regime

The sign reads: El-samak yurid esqat el-nezam (the fish demands the collapse of the regime). Didn’t Mubarak get that message?! *sigh*

My new post: Creative & Humorous Egyptians.

Malin Kundang 2.0

This one made my day!!! Thank you, Qonita! 🙂

The real Malin Kundang’s story can be read here.

Cycling Around Eindhoven

I wasn’t planning to do anything today as I only had few hours of sleep. I was still very tired. I just wanted to stay at home. But then at around 12pm a good friend of mine, Arya asked me if I would be interested to join in for cycling. His cousin was in town for a visit and he wanted to show her around. Since today was my last day of vacation before going back to school, I decided to join them for a city tour 🙂

We first went to the lake near our campus. It’s quite a big lake and it’s a really nice place to do picnic. If it was sunny, we would have done that!

It's so good to do picnic around here!  The teaaam! L-R: Uca, Arya, Elva, Rizky, me

Cycling is fun! Just random picture of us! Hehe.

Sumatralaan! A group of geese. I scared them out. Hihihi.

Then we went to Evoluon, the UFO-like conference center which was originally built by Philips to house a science museum. Evoluon is one of the icons of Eindhoven. It isn’t a pretty building if you look at it in closer distance, though.

In front of the Evoluon, the UFO-like conference building water windmill at the Genneper Parken

From Evoluon, we cycled towards the south of Eindhoven to the Genneper Parken (Genneper Parks). Nothing much here, except few museums and a water windmill.

In total, we cycled for around 15 kilometers! I could feel my back needed a massage afterwards :P. But it was quite fun. The weather was really gloomy with occasional rain. If it was sunny, it’d be much better! I reached home at around 6pm and dropped dead to sleep right away. I wanted to go to the Turkish mosque for ifthar but I overslept until 9pm! Haha. I was too tired. Great day!

The Oranje

Yeah, I have a new orange friend here. He loves to observe me whenever I’m sitting in front of the computer. And he’s going to make sure that I don’t sit there for too long. Or else… who knows what he is capable of. Seriously. He’s just unpredictable.

Marge Simpson

Marge Simpson

I can’t keep smiling to find Marge Simpson’s portrait posing as the Girl with a Pearl Earring (picture below). This is a painting by a famous Dutch painter called Vermeer. It’s one of my most favorite paintings :)

The One With Do-Re-Mi

This video makes me smile everytime I see it. They have such a great idea of turning musical looking like spontaneous one at a big train station in Antwerp, Belgium. Enjoy! 🙂
