Project 365

Welcome! This is my own 365 project of creating at least one post per day about the stuff that I learnt, achieved, and found, the stuff that made me happy, or the new thing I did every single day.

The project was started on 21 February 2010. It has stopped for few times but I am determined to continue!

This project is dedicated to myself. I want to feel grateful for every single thing I have. I want to be thankful for my own life. I just want to feel that I have enough.

Go easy on yourself…

No amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of worrying can change the future. Go easy on yourself, for the outcome of all affairs is determined by Allah’s decree. If something is meant to go elsewhere, it will never come your way, but if it is yours by destiny, from you it cannot flee.

Angklung Eindhoven

I’m so proud of our angklung team! We have recently got "accepted" to perform at Muziek Op Dommel!!! This is a free orchestra concert which has the stage located by the Dommel River. I watched last year’s concert and it was AWESOME! This will be our first performance at a festival where a number of nationally-acclaimed musical ensemble will take part!!! Woooow, such an achievement! I hope we’ll be able to perform at the main stage!!! 🙂

Muziek Op Dommel

Meanwhile, here are our most recent performances, playing The Blue Danube (Johann Strauss) and Indonesian traditional songs (medley).

Salwar Kameez & Churidaar

I’m in looooooove with salwar kameez and churidaar!!! I don’t know why I suddenly like it so much. This isn’t the first time I see people wearing it. But maybe I just woke up…

A Guest

My friend, Elaine, came all the way from the States today. She’s going to stay at my place for two nights before traveling somewhere else. I’m SO glad to meet her again! I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since the last time we met and she promised me that she’ll be back one day to Europe again. She did 🙂

Previously she gave me a San Francisco cable car miniature and today she gave me a new cool pair of shoes! Hehehe. This isn’t my type of shoes, but it seems comfortable and it’s good for traveling! 😛 I’m so happy 🙂

A Present from Belitung

Belitung

A friend of mine sent me this picture of Belitung. She is enjoying her vacation over there at the moment. She sent this picture to cheer me up while doing my thesis in the winterland of the Netherlands. Hehehehe. Thank you, dear 🙂

It’s strange to say this, but I can’t wait to go back to Indonesia. To settle, that is. Now I know EXACTLY what I’m going to do!!! This excitement and the feeling of "know-what-to-do" override every other feeling, including my hesitation to settle there 🙂

Thank you all my dear friends… who have never failed to inspire me 🙂 YOU ROCK!

For The Unfaithful

I stumbled upon this song by Rossa. This is just a really sad song. I watched her performance singing this song and it was sooo emotional. I cried my eyes out. Damn, it’s been a long time ago, yet the memory is still fresh on my mind.

How I wish you never did it.

The Mirror

We are the mirror as well as the face in it.
We are tasting the taste this minute of eternity.
We are pain and what cures pain, both.
We are the sweet cold water and the jar that pours.
I want to hold you close like a lute so we can cry out with loving.
You would rather throw stones at a mirror?
I am your mirror, and here are the stones.

The Invitation

Wedding Invitation

Wedding Invitation Wedding Invitation

Surprise!!! I got the official wedding invitation today from Mayu 🙂 So very excited! The wedding is going to be in Gold Coast. Yay!!!

I feel bad that I am not able to help her with the wedding preparation. It should be fun doing it, I suppose! Planning for a small and intimate wedding is much more fun than "mass wedding", as I call it.
